A trip designed around you, not a template. Route, stays, tables, drivers, wine cellars, all planned by people who live here and argue about the best khinkali in person.

What happens after you submit a request

A request starts a conversation, not a booking. Here's what that conversation involves.

  1. 01

    We read the request

We look at your dates, pace, and what you wrote about the trip. If something's missing for the quote, we ask in our reply.

  2. 02

    We draft a route

We propose day-by-day logistics, accommodation options, and what actually works that time of year — with notes on roads and weather.

  3. 03

    We work out the cost

We show what the total is made of: planning, transport, accommodation, support. What's not included, we list separately.

  4. 04

    You confirm

Until you agree to the route and the cost, nothing is booked and no payment is required.

The rules changed. We read them first.

Since 2026, Georgia has required tourists to hold medical insurance. Guides and operators must register in the state tourism database, guide certification is voluntary, and risky activities fall under separate, stricter rules. Most of the market calls this a problem. We call it a spec.

Built for the 2026 rules, not around them

Georgia rewrote its tourism law: mandatory registration for guides and operators, voluntary guide certification, stricter rules for risky activities, insured tourists. We treat compliance as the product, not the fine print.

Paperwork is our home turf

Modern Travel grew out of a Tbilisi accounting and legal practice. Work permits, registrations, contracts — handled in-house, in Georgian, at the source.

Local by residence, not by slogan

We live on these streets year-round. When a road to Kazbegi closes in March or a marani quietly stops taking visitors, our itineraries already know.
